I have always been absolutely useless at keeping a diary, even though I have always thought it highly important to keep a record of one’s life. We would not have known about so many historical snippets, facts and events if it were not for some of the great diarists.
However, in the absence of a comprehensive diary or the time to start one I have decided to do a photo-a-day blog. This way the day is not captured in just words but also photos. Hopefully one day it will be used as a record for determining what life was like in the early 2nd millennium for a relatively ordinary person.
